Meet the Team

Dr. Elizabeth Abraham MD, MS, CLC

Dr. Elizabeth Abraham MD, MS is double board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric nephrology. She holds a master’s degree in clinical research. Dr. Abraham did her residency at Case Western/Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and completed a nephrology fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She founded St. Teresa Pediatrics after serving on the faculty at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.

In primary care, she finds so much joy in watching children grow and develop. She also treasures getting to know families. In nephrology, she loves to help kids experiencing kidney and bladder problems find solutions.

Dr. Abraham is also one of the few pediatricians in the world who is a medical consultant in Natural Family Planning. She knows that the tools of NFP can be used to diagnose and treat the underlying causes of menstrual problems such as PMS, hormonal acne, and painful periods.

Dr. Abraham is a Certified Lactation Counselor and has training in breastfeeding support.

For fun, Dr. Abraham loves to grow fruits and veggies, practice calligraphy, and spend time with her awesome and supportive husband. Dr. Abraham volunteers as a lector for her parish along with her husband. All hobbies are currently on hold as she and her husband care for their delightful baby boy!

Dr. Abraham was recognized by her peers as a Top Doc in St. Louis Magazine for pediatrics/pediatric nephrology.

My Superpower

If Dr. Abraham could have any superpower, she would instantly teleport, mostly to visit her big, crazy family all over the world.

Dr. Mark Herbers MD

Dr. Mark Herbers is a board-certified pediatrician who has been in practice for many years. He is a native St. Louisan who went to Medical School at Mizzou. He then did his residency at Dallas Children’s Medical Center, before returning home to go into practice. He has been on the faculty of Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, as well as being in private practice.

It is a joy for him to be with kids every day, from newborns to adolescents. Every age has new and different wonders and challenges. He loves accompanying parents on the journey as we care for their children.

Outside of work, Dr. Herbers likes to spend time with family and friends. He enjoys learning about almost anything, especially God and nature. For fun, he hikes in the woods, birdwatches, and sings in his church choir. He especially likes traveling to foreign countries and being immersed in cultures completely different than our own.

My Superpower

Buzzy’s real superpower is helping shots hurt less. Just like if you get a burn on your hand and run cool water on your hand, the cold and vibration helps with pain.
